Participants also had a chance to sample both languages and snacks from different countries and regions, including Arabic, Chinese, French, Hindi, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian.

The event concluded with a lively showcase of music and cultural expression, with the rapper Fætter Anders.

With recent talks of possibly shutting down all programs featuring non-European languages at Aarhus University, Global Languages Day was a reminder of the importance of knowledge about language and culture in a globalized world.
