Traditional Chinese Calligraphy

Chinese calligraphy

On October 11th, China Studies welcomed enthusiasts to embark on a cultural journey through traditional Chinese calligraphy.

The event began with an insightful exploration of the history of Chinese calligraphy, emphasizing its deep-rooted significance in Chinese culture. Attendees got a glimpse at the intricate strokes and characters of this beautiful art.

A highlight of the day was witnessing the meticulous process of ink-making, an essential component of this art form. Participants were then encouraged to try their hand at crafting their own characters, immersing themselves in the artistic qualities of Chinese calligraphy.

At the day’s end, attendees took home their calligraphic creations, to hang up and invite good luck into their lives. We thank China Studies for a wonderful event!
