Take Part in El Salvador Project

An International Studies team of researchers consisting of Alain Carretero, Chiara Bresciani and Vladimir Pacheco are now part of a project in El Salvador that will investigate ways of opening up new economic opportunities for people who survived that country’s armed conflict.

Despite the intergenerational trauma of the survivors, their entrepreneurial spirit is strong and serves as inspiration, not only for other survivors in the country but also for the research team, who now has to find ways of channelling their strengths to activities that will increase access to markets that are either underutilized or that they do not yet have access to.

The project is co-funded by Aarhus University and the University of Western Ontario with a grant from the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council for a period of seven years.
